Our Credentials

Tattoo removal services can vary greatly, especially in regions where regulations differ. In New South Wales, the industry lacks strict oversight, making it essential for clients to choose their tattoo removal clinic carefully. Kelli Stephens, our owner, brings over two decades of experience from the beauty industry and holds a Diploma in Beauty Therapy alongside advanced qualifications in Laser and IPL. Her commitment to ongoing training ensures that our team stays updated with the latest techniques and safety practices. With our state-of-the-art laser technology and a focus on client safety and comfort, you can trust that your tattoo removal process is in expert hands.

How it works ...

Our Tattoo Removal Methodology

Our advanced laser technology works by targeting and breaking down the ink particles embedded in your skin, allowing for effective and safe tattoo removal. Each session is tailored to your specific tattoo and skin type to ensure optimal results.

The laser fires nanosecond (Q‑switched) pulses. These pulses are so fast that ink absorbs the energy before heat spreads to nearby skin.

The ink heats rapidly and breaks apart through a combination of thermal expansion and photoacoustic shockwaves. Think of it as microscopic “explosions” inside the pigment.

Once shattered, ink fragments become small enough for macrophages (immune cells) to carry away through the lymphatic system over several weeks.

Usually 6-12 sessions are required for removal

Tattoo Removal FAQs

How does tattoo removal work?

Most modern tattoo removal uses laser technology.

The laser targets tattoo pigment in the skin, breaking it into tiny particles

that your body's immune system gradually clears away.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on factors such as:

  • Tattoo size

  • Ink colors used

  • Tattoo age

  • Ink depth and density

  • Skin type

  • Location on the body

Many tattoos require anywhere from 6–12 sessions, though some may need more or fewer.

Does tattoo removal hurt?

Most people describe the sensation as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Discomfort levels vary by individual and treatment area. We offer a number of cooling and numbing options.

Can all tattoo colors be removed?

Black ink generally responds best to laser treatment. Dark blue and red often remove well, while green, turquoise, yellow, and fluorescent colors can be more challenging and may require additional treatments.

Will the tattoo disappear completely?

Many tattoos can be removed almost completely, but results vary. Some tattoos may leave faint pigment, shadowing, or skin texture changes.

Are there any side effects?

Temporary side effects may include:

  • Redness

  • Swelling

  • Blistering

  • Scabbing

  • Itching

These usually resolve during healing. Rarely, changes in skin pigmentation or scarring can occur.

How long should I wait between sessions?

We recommend waiting 8 weeks between treatments to allow proper healing and give the body time to clear fragmented ink.

Is tattoo removal safe?

When performed by qualified professionals using appropriate equipment, laser tattoo removal is generally considered safe. Following aftercare instructions helps minimise risks.

How much does tattoo removal cost?

Costs depend on the tattoo's size, complexity, and the number of sessions required. We offer packages and several payment options to help spread out the cost of your tattoo removal.

Can I remove only part of a tattoo?

Yes. Partial removal is commonly performed for tattoo modifications, cover-ups, or removing specific elements of a design.

What should I do before my appointment?

Typically, you should:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure.

  • Do not tan the treatment area.

  • Arrive with clean skin free of lotions or makeup.

What aftercare is required?

Common aftercare recommendations include:

  • Keeping the area clean and dry.

  • Avoiding picking at scabs or blisters.

  • Protecting the area from sun exposure.

  • Following our aftercare instructions.

Who should avoid laser tattoo removal?

Certain medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or skin conditions may affect suitability.

Can a tattoo be lightened for a cover-up?

Yes. Many people choose several laser sessions to fade a tattoo before having a new design tattooed over it.

Note: Tattoo removal outcomes vary significantly between individuals. A consultation can provide a more accurate estimate of expected results and treatment requirements.

*Skin frosting during treatment.  This is caused by the gases released when the ink is shattered by our laser.  It is harmless and disappears within 30 minutes after the treatment has finished.
